Countdown to midnight 31 Dec, and looking back onto a year filled with so many happenings!

Here's my year in cross stitch, I shall add here firstly different cross stitch cards or ornaments projects.

And then my 12 days of Christmas project, finally put together, having started it in Sept 2008.

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year filled with love, good health and of course, cross stitch!

Christmas break

Hello everyone,

I really hope you have had a wonderful Christmas time close to your dear ones! Our Christmas Eve party went very well, followed by Christmas day that was nice and quiet, so after having looked around in shops for an adequate Iphone cover, I resorted to doing my own!

Have a good break and wish you a Happy New Year.

A lovely gift from Marta

My stitching friend Marta has so kindly sent me a beautiful array of gifts for Christmas, I honestly feel embarrassed, because my gift to her was nothing in comparison.

Always generous, A BIG THANK YOU MARTA!

And I leave you all with lovely pictures from Paris under snow!!!

Delighted

I managed to put everything together, finally. Am I pleased? I am DELIGHTED! I have been listening to Christmas carols all day to help me be in the mood. This is my second banner now ready and placed in the right spot awaiting patiently Christmas Day!

I have also done a bit of crocheting, made a couple of brooches.

Hope you are all in the mood for Christmas by now, I am definitely getting there!

Wishing you a lovely week,

First part of 12 days!

Hello everyone,

A bit of patchwork this weekend, I am assembling the 12 days of Christmas, here is the first banner.

It has been a delightful project, with ups and downs, but in the end I am so glad I stuck to it.

Have a lovely week ahead, it is quite busy these parts, we have started with the usual Christmas parties at work and it starts feeling like holidays!

I leave you with another little picture for a Christmas card, I have already started sending some out, this is a late comer, but hope to have it ready for Christmas.

Best wishes,

I've done it!

I was over pessimistic this morning, honest, just look at me finishing within the day! Wow, am I pleased?

Now off to assemble the whole thing, I've got an idea in my head involving some patchwork.

I think now I am motivated to hang it up THIS Christmas!

Take good care everyone,

Almost there

I have tried all my best to finish it by now, but still a bit to go. Hope to be ready for the 1st December so I could start assembling my 12 Days!

And some lovely roses, although almost faded now, but they were a delight.

Grey and cold over here, I am staying indoors. Real wintry weather!

Keep warm, have a good week,

Advancing

... but very gently. Had a stab at nr 10 of the 12 days, last and least preferred, unfortunately.

Have to finish it! MUST!

Knitting

This weekend I tried my hand at some knitting, and made a quick scarf in pastel pink. I must admit I have not touched the cross stitch, and I must, at all cost, finish my 10th day in the Christmas series and begin to assemble my two banners. Well, more to come.

Until next time,

Have a very good week,

My 12 day of the 12th Days

Well, it took me a while! But here goes now.

And also another quick stitch for a Christmas card.

Sorry, am a bit late over here and getting ready for work tomorrow, so I wish you all a good week ahead. I leave you with a picture of my street adorned in autumn's colours.

Love to you all,

More cross stitch

Advancing nicely with my 12 days, but plagued by a heavy cold, I could not even go and see my granddaughter this week, real shame. Instead my DH went over and took a video of her for me, so I could at least see her from a distance. And not to mention my daily supply of emails with photo attachments from my DiL, I do keep in touch, but really want to keep my germs to myself.

Here goes my 12th day from the series.

And a little card for a friend called Joy!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

Not Sunday roast

Instead tomatoes stuffed with beef and turkey mix, delicious!

Followed by apple tart, also scrumptious.

And I got a big pumpkin today to see if I could make some soup and other recipes found in the book my dearest bought me.

And a couple of baby clothes I bought for my little Olivia, too cute, I could not resist sharing this.

Hope your Sunday menu was as tasty as mine was!

Have a good week ahead,
