Weekend stitching 2
I finished the bib, it looks sweet, but I must admit I am behind with the 12 Days of Christmas.
I hope next week to show you a bit of progress, but I stumble at nr 10, so I leave it aside, and I'll do 11 and 12 first. Any Santa helpers out there to cross stitch my nr 10? Christmas present assured!
Love, Lori xxx

Weekend stitching
Microwave cake
Well, I must admit I do not cook often, but today I've tried a quick recipe sent by a friend, and it ended up not too badly. This is all happening in a tea mug! Actually I used the biggest version of a cup I had in the house (that I normally use to have soup in), as the cake tends to raise and overflow, but you can use a normal mug, and then cut it into scone size pieces and put jam on it.
Here goes:
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons of flour (levelled)
4 tablespoons of sugar (levelled)
1 tablespoon of cocoa (levelled)
half teaspoon of baking powder
Mix well the dried ingredients.
Add one egg and mix in well.
Add 3 tablespoons of milk and 3 tablespoons of oil.
Once well mixed, put cup in the microwave and cook for 4 mins at 850W.
I sprinkled mine with icing sugar, but you can decorate with icing, chocolate, jam, custard, cream, and whatever else takes your fancy, each to their own taste!
Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have. The link is in Romanian, and more photos are attached, if you want to see it. Merci Giani!

Back home
Hello everyone, I am back from holiday, back to work and back with some of my creations.
I managed to finish the baby blanket, my step daughter will give birth shortly in October, so I managed to finish it in time. I hope it will keep mummy and baby warm, it can even be used as a telly watching blanket on those cold winter months coming up!
A little card for a friend, her birthday is due soon also. She is very fond of patchwork, so hopefully she will enjoy this card.
We had a delightful holiday, plenty of sunshine and breathtaking sights on the Atlantic coast, cycling helped and came back with a barrel full of high moral and joyfulness.
Did I ever show you the gift I made for Cindy for her 50th birthday? Her birthday card and two coasters for hot drinks. Well, I know she enjoyed it greatly, and that she had an excellent time that day!
Wishing you all a very good week ahead,
love,
