I was looking at Lucy's blog, so much colour, it really gave me the desire to learn to crochet some new patterns. This is my first Granny Square, and I followed Lucy's tutorial from Attic24, she is an expert :
And this comes from Daniela, she kindly gave me the instructions :
I am still to learn the ripple design, I tried today, but have not mastered yet. Here is Hen's advice on ripple crochet, with pictures and all.
And these are the daffodils I planted this year and last year's ones just popping out, see photo right after. Spring is definitely in the air!

Hi Lori
The granny looks fabulous, great that you were able to follow my pattern, am sooo pleased!
Re the ripple...been asked many times for a tutorial on this, only thing being the pattern is not mine as such so there will undoubtedly be copyright issues. I'm working on my own pattern, it's almost there, and when its fool-proofed i will tutorial it...so annoying cos in my opinion the WAY the ripple pattern is written is unnecessarily complicated and hard to follow, when in reality it's a v easy pattern to make.
Anyhow, keep up with the hooking, you're doing great!
