Christmas is coming!

First Sunday of advent, and my advent calendar is once again on display! May it be a season of good cheer and blessings!

Prima duminica de advent, si calendarul de Craciun este deja pus la loc de cinste! Doresc tuturor un timp binecuvintat si plin de bucurie.

Spoilt for choice really, and we are still in November. By Christmas I'll see loads ...

Finished a few things

My 4th day from 12 Days of Christmas is finally finished! Took me much longer than the other 3 as I was also stitching a gift for a friend's birthday. Also I was finishing some other cross stitch, reading my books for the book club on 15 Dec, attending choir practice for carol singing on 18 Dec, and rehearsals for the pantomime on 10 Dec, making the right envelopes for my other Christmas cards, (as the size was a bit awkward, I found a pattern on somebody's Picasa site and managed to get it to the square I needed), knitting another scarf as I remembered where I stored my green fancy wool, etc, etc, etc. Getting really busy over here!

And something I could not pass by ...

... without taking a photo of, too cute! Now, who would want to eat him???

I just hope you'd like to see the build up to Christmas in Paris, the shops are getting "dressed" for show, and each have their own way of drawing you in to start celebrating the best event of the year, Christmas! I just love it, and if I could buy all, I would. However I have to reasonable, so my camera does the "buying" ;o))

I shall start with lovely Christmas trees, perking their lovely attire to enchant the passers-by!

My cross stitch has been a bit slow lately ...

... but not abandoned completely! I have been working alongside my 12 days of Christmas and made some other seasonal cards. This is where I am at present:

And all we have is rain, a few snowflakes on Sunday, but nothing much! Becoming a bit jealous, all my friends are sending me snow pics! Pfeeew...

Nicole's birthday on Saturday!

Nicole is 11 years old! What a joy to see her grow up! We had a lovely time! Happy birthday my dearest!

Very cosmic!

Christmas decorations in Paris

On Haussman boulevard in Paris, Printemps shop has already decorated for Christmas. Kids love this, and adults too! :-))

It shows winter is drawing in ...

... because we all started knitting scarves! I have just added to my collection of colourful ones, a teal coloured one. The red and stripped turquoise were made a little while ago. I am still to make a green one, but for the moment my collection stands as this:

It's in the rain

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=zoWcpafo1Zs

Every time the rain comes down
I close my eyes and listen
I can hear the lonesome sound
Of this sky as it cries
Listen to the rain
Here it comes again
Hear it in the rain
Feel the touch of tears that fall
They won't fall forever
In the way the day will flow
All things come, all things go
Listen to the rain... the rain
Here it comes again... again
Hear it in the rain... the rain
Late at night I drift away
I can hear you calling
And my name is in the rain
Leaves on trees whispering
Deep blue seas, mysteries
Even when this moment ends
Can't let go this feeling
Everything will come again
In this sound falling down
Of this sky as it cries
Hear my name in the rain
